Visual Inspection

The visual inspection is camera-based referred to as a General Visual Inspection (GVI) or Close Visual Inspection (CVI).

Non-destructive Testing

Making use of non-destructive testing (NDT) sensor to detect defects that cannot be detected visually. These include Cathodic Probes (CP) to determine the condition of a vessel’s Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP), Ultrasonic Thicknessing (UT) to map corrosion and determine plate thickness.

Artificial Intelligence

We use Artificial Intelligence technologies such as Machine Learning (ML), Machine Vision (MV), VSLAM, and photogrammetry. These are used to determine a baseline. Future tasks are overlaid to determine conditions such as distortions, corrosion, and impact damage.

Diverless UWILD

Underwater Inspection in Lieu of Dry-Docking (UWILD) is used as an alternative to the dry-docking methodology of inspecting marine vessels wherein the submerged part of the vessel hull is inspected while in operation to reduce downtime, additional travel time, and cost.

Environmentally Friendly Hull Cleaning

We are able to clean a hull’s surfaces and extract the biofouling. The biofouling is strained, filtered, treated, and returned. This is done in accordance with industry standards.

Cleaning of Niche Areas

Niche areas include sea chests, discharges, bilge keels, stabilizers, anodes, thrusters, stern, bow, and waterline.

In-water overboard discharge isolations facilitate the repair, replacement of isolation valves and spool pieces without the cost of dry-docking and downtime.

We can assist with cleaning and blanking of sea chests and discharges.

Installation of cofferdams on a vessel’s hull to facilitate in-water repairs.

Real-time Viewing

SymbyTech provides the advantage of time and cost-saving through the use of real-time viewing. Real-time viewing allows multiple remote team members to participate simultaneously.

Real-time Playback

Real-time Playback allows team members to visit the activities conducted with all the recorded data.

Digital Twin

Digital twins provide a way to visit an asset without the need to go to it. Digital twins are integral for the follow-up of tasks done in the past to allow for planned future requirements.
